Tai Chi Benefits Patients with Parkinson’s
Tai Chi can benefit people with chronic health problems including Parkinson’s, depression, and reduces pain for those with arthritis and fibromyalgia. Tai chi is an ancient martial art that uses slow, flowing movement and meditation. A recent study found that tai chi can help improve balance and movement control for Parkinson’s patients who are characterized by tremors, balance problems, stiff facial expressions and muffled speech. Tai chi can help with these symptoms that current medications cannot fix.
