Veterans Share their Art- and their Wisdom
The University of Regina’s art gallery, in Canada, now hosts an installation created by veterans of World War II. The display shows the room of an aging veteran, complete with an empty wheel chair and pieces of advice hanging from the ceiling. The exhibition is a way for veterans to share their experiences and their lives now, and it appears to be an effective medium. “As an artist, it’s interesting to see some of the issues that veterans are dealing with being solved through artistic means,” said Melissa Strachan, a fine arts student at the school.
