Grantmakers Partnership Projects

With the generous support of the MetLife Foundation, the Grantmakers Partnership Projects will create an infrastructure for resource development through partnerships with public and private funding agencies, focusing on grantmakers affinity groups, government, private sector, and national service organizations.

In 2011 the National Center for Creative Aging partnered with Grantmakers in the Arts and Grantmakers In Aging to provide technical assistance to funders interested in creative aging through conference presentations, regional issues forums, and a Thought Leader Forum.  The result of the Thought Leader Forum was a set of recommendations on how to encourage funding in this field.  This project, now entering its second year, has expanded to incorporate Grantmakers In Health and the Society for the Arts in Healthcare and will produce a National Strategies Session, webinar training programs, and additional conference and pre-conference presentations throughout 2012.

This initiative will bring Grantmakers in the Arts, Grantmakers In Aging, and Grantmakers In Health together at the intersection of arts, aging, and healthcare to educate their members about the benefits of arts in aging and healthcare environments, giving them tools to identify and support promising programs and making more funding available to the field.
