Carolyn Halpin-Healy is an educator and arts administrator whose work is dedicated to improving quality of life through engagement with the visual arts. In 2010 she founded Arts & Minds with neurologist James M. Noble, M.D. to provide museum-based programs for people with dementia and their caregivers. In museums, community centers, and nursing homes, her programs empower people with dementia, family members, professional caregivers, and educators, to strengthen social, emotional, and spiritual bonds. A member of the teaching staff at The Metropolitan Museum of Art since 1991, Carolyn holds an MA in Art History from Williams College and a Graduate Certificate in Adult Learning from the City University of New York.
