Partners in Grantmaking

The Grantmakers Partnership was a unique intiative between NCCA and Grantmakers in the Arts, Grantmakers In Aging, and Grantmakers In Health to create an infrastructure for resource development through partnerships with public and private funding agencies, focusing on grantmakers affinity groups, government, private sector, and national service organizations.

Together the partners provided technical assistance to funders interested in creative aging through conference presentations, regional issues forums, and a Thought Leader Forum.  The result of the Thought Leader Forum was a set of recommendations on how to encourage funding in this field.  This project produced a National Strategies Session, webinar training programs, and additional conference and pre-conference presentations.

Results:

  • 85 leaders in philanthropy along with executives representing government entities participated in focused workshops on how to integrate creative aging into their organizations.
  • 9,000 members of aging, arts and philanthropy organizations routinely receiving information on this initiative.
  • 1,152 professionals in philanthropy, government and arts and aging attended seminar/conferences and webinars.

This initiative was supported by the Met Life Foundation.
